Centrale Idroelettrica di Crespi d'Adda

Centrale Idroelettrica di Crespi d'Adda, alternatively referred to as the 'Il Scuneo Generators', are a relic from the early days of hydroelectric power generation. Built by Brown Boveri in Milan and inaugurated on 25 July 1909, these three Kaplan turbines only ceased operation in 2009. Since I visited in 2012, the turbine hall and turbines have been renovated and are now back in action as a working piece of history.
