Lavoir des Chavannes

Lavoir des Chavannes is a former coal preparation plant in eastern France. Constructed between 1922 and 1923 before closing in November 1999. The site was vast, covering 32 hectares at its peak with its associated railway infrastructure. Coal could be loaded into barges via shutes in the coaling basin to the south-east.
