Dannenfels Heilstätte

The former sanatorium at Dannenfels, Germany was built and operated by Badische Anilin- und Soda-Fabrik (BASF) until its closure. The sanatorium began as one building dating from 1892, with a new larger building added around 1916. Dannenfels has the distinction of being the first sanatorium for the treatment of Tuberculosis provided by a private company. I believe, due to the absence of any medical equipment, that the sanatorium finished its time as a centre for rest and recuperation.
